Every time I stepped on the scale, or looked in the mirror, I said to myself, “Man, it’s just a joy to be alive. I can’t believe I’m actually doing this.” I want you to experience the same joy as I did, and I’m going to do everything humanly possible to make this happen for you.
I’ve given you the first key to losing weight, eating healthy. Now, I want to give you the second key. This may be more important. If you master this, you will not only lose weight. You will maintain that enthusiasm about eating healthy. You can master this in less than a day. Do it, and there is no possible way you will fail at losing weight.
Positive Mental Attitude – Second key to weight loss
Before you begin, it is very important that you develop the right positive mental attitude. This means you must have the desire to lose weight, and consistently maintain that desire. If you’re reading this, you have that desire. You’re definitely off to a very good start.
This desire must be built up further, and safely and securely locked into your mind so that you do not risk losing this desire.
Get it, lock it in, and don’t forget it.
Build on this desire, and your desire to lose weight will be so strong that you will do whatever it takes to lose those excess pounds, without giving it a second thought. Furthermore, you’ll love every minute of it. This desire gives you the motivation needed to get started, and this motivation is what makes it so easy to follow through with your plan to lose weight.
There is an easy way to develop this positive mental attitude immediately, and keep it from now on. I’m going to show you right now.
Develop a Positive Mental Attitude by asking yourself 4 questions
A question is worth a thousand words. Questions cover every problem you’ve had with weight loss in the past. They will determine, first, whether you really want to lose weight, second, why you want to lose weight, and finally, whether you have the motivation to do something that is going to make your life a whole lot happier.
Don’t just ask yourself questions. Think about how important they are.To develop a good, positive mental attitude, you must ask yourself the following four questions:
- Am I totally happy with myself?
- Am I happy with my personal appearance?
- How can I benefit from improving my personal appearance?
- Will I have the necessary will power to do whatever it takes?
I will cover each question in detail later. For now, I want you to ask yourself these questions, and really reflect on each.
As you ask yourself these four questions, give each one careful and considerable thought. You should not only ask yourself these four questions. You must examine them very closely.
Who knows? You may have wanted to lose weight for no definite reason, other than, you believe this is the right thing to do. If you ask yourself these 4 questions, you now have reasons for wanting to lose weight. And the reasons are priceless, to say the lease. If you approach weight loss by thinking about these 4 questions, you will have a new attitude about yourself, and about losing weight.
There are two other things I can guarantee you. First, you will lose weight if you approach it this way. Second, the feeling you will have when you actually see yourself losing weight is something that is so wonderful, that it is difficult to describe. You have to experience it to believe it. I’ve been there, and let me tell you, there is no other feeling in the world like the one you will have when you accomplish this.
Finally, the stronger your positive mental attitude, the more enjoyable weight loss will be. When I first wrote my book on how I lost 75 pounds in 4 months, the title I originally came up with was The Joy of Losing Weight.
