It doesn’t take an expert to know that foods high in sugar content will cause you to gain weight.
Included within this category are cake, ice cream, candy, pie, cookies, pastries, etc. The list of foods containing a lot of sugar is endless. Many of the, so-called, “junk foods” are included within this category.
You don’t have to give up sugar to lose weight
You can still enjoy the sugary treats you love, without having to worry about gaining more weight, provided you do it the right way.
Have the sugar treats during your meal, or shortly afterwards, preferably for desert. For example, have a piece of cake or pie immediately after dinner. This will work more in your favor than having them later during the evening. If you are insistent on having these goodies, right before bedtime, you’re just shooting yourself in the foot.
If you are full from the main course at dinner, perhaps you may consider doing without desert. Don’t just have a desert because it’s there. That’s the most destructive thing anyone trying to lose weight can do. If you can’t decide whether or not to have a desert, I would suggest that you not have it. Try saying to yourself, “Three hours later, I will not be able to tell the difference anyway.”
Remember, you can eat what you want to eat and still lose weight. The key is, when and how you eat.
